Oakland Plus is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of our valuable water resources. It accomplishes that goal by supporting scholarships, educational programs, and grant for water quality awareness, testing, and research. Oakland Plus leverages its support of the environment by working with existing education and advocacy groups to improve and maintain the quality of water resources in Oakland County and Southeast Michigan.

Oakland Plus was organized through the efforts of the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner John P. McCulloch and interested local citizens. It raises money to educate residents of all ages on the critical relationship between human activity and the quality of water resources.

The Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner's Office (WRC) has long championed water resource activities in Oakland County through innovative design, construction, operation, and maintenance of public infrastructure. As we learn more about the impact of individual actions on water quality, it is clear that the public needs to become fully engaged in the quest to preserve and protect water quality.
